Specialized in bio-based and biodegradable materials and products, the national high-technology enterprise that combines planting, research and development, production and marketing, sits in the economic development area of the River Sukunshan Bridge and is the result of the relocation and expansion of Pepsida Biological Materials Limited, established in 2004. He is now Vice-President of the China Plastics Association Degrading Plastics Commission and member of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Bio-based Materials and Degrading Products.
The company, which has a technical research centre for bio-based and bio-decomposition materials in Suzhou City, has a full capital of 35,000 tons of cassava starch and its variable starch companies. It has carried out extensive research and studies in production and has undertaken various scientific and technological development projects at various levels, which have resulted in technology, products and industrial chains ranging from maize starch and decomposition to bio-based and bio-decomposition materials and products.
The company owns more than 20,000 square metres of production plants, has over 60 modern production and detection equipment, producing 30,000 tons of bio-based and biodegradable materials, film bags, tablets, plastics, retrofitting, etc., and the production capacity of products; 68 patents are authorized by the State, of which 8 are patented for inventions, 21 for practical novelty and 39 for appearance.
